Fabric and Tulle Flowers

So my goal is to post something everyday and yay!! I made the deadline for today by 6 minutes! :)
I've seen a ton of fabric flowers for sale in boutiques and always thought "I could make that." I've watched a number of how too's on youtube so today I decided to try my hand at them. Unfortunately the only fabric I had was tulle. I tried making one with just tulle but didn't like how it looked so I went on the hunt in my closet. Way waaay in the back was my "one day" shirt that didn't fit and had a small hole in it so I decided to take some scissors to it. I cut circles in various sizes from the shirt and some out of tulle. (You can use any kind of synthetic material) Then burnt the edges so they would curl up. Layer them biggest to smallest and did a few whip stitches to hold them together. Then I hot glued a jewel in the middle and Voilà! A cute little fabric flower. It way easier than I though and now I (and Kensington) can actually wear my "one day" shirt today.
